Puno - Arrival

Upon arrival in Puno, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the remainder of the evening at your leisure.

Discover Lake Titicaca

In the morning, head out for a tour of Lake Titicaca, stopping first at the floating islands of the Uros, known as the People of the Lake. These islands are built out of layers of totora and are used as housing and trade centers for the native Uros people. Next, continue to Taquile Island where warm and inviting locals keep the old traditions, customs and colorful clothing alive. The islanders are skilled craftspeople and express in each piece astonishing techniques developed by their ancestors for centuries. (B,L)

Puno – Colca Canyon

Leave your hotel in the morning on your journey to Colca Canyon. First, stop for a chance to witness the diversity of birdlife at Lagunillas including the majestic Andean flamingo. Next, continue to Pampa Cañahuas for a coca tea or muña millenary drink break. While here, you may observe the variety of camelids that inhabit the Andean highlands.Continue your journey to Patapampa, also called the viewpoint of the volcanoes with an unforgettable view of the Misti, the Ampato, Hualcahualca and others. Upon arrival in Colca Canyon, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the evening at your leisure. (B,L)

Colca Canyon - Arequipa

Begin the day with passage through the Colca Canyon where you can appreciate the view of one of the deepest canyons in the world and, if time permits, you can admire the majestic flight of the famed condor. Later, visit Yaca and Maca with its beautiful colonial church and artisan market. Stop for a delicious lunch of local cuisine before continuing to Arequipa. (B,L)

Explore Arequipa

Enjoy a full day at your leisure to explore the region at your own pace. You may want to consider an optional tour of the city, including the Santa Catalina Convent. Start the day with a visit to the districts of Carmen Alto and Yanahuara for a viewpoint of the Misti, Chachani and PichuPichu volcanoes. Later, visit the Santa Catalina Convent, founded in 1580, to appreciate the cloisters, picturesque streets and squares. Finish your tour with a walk around the Main Square to see examples of regional architecture. (B)

Arequipa – Lima - Paracas

Following breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lima. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Paracas for check-in. The journey to the south along the Pacific Ocean will show off the various landscapes of Peru including desert areas with sporadic oases. Your guide will show you vestiges of different civilizations as well as the villages along your route. If you wish, you may take an optional tour of the Paracas National Reserve to see many of the endemic flora and fauna of Peru. (B)

Paracas – Nazca Lines - Lima

Today you will witness one of South America’s greatest mysteries – the enigmatic Nazca Lines. Transfer to Pisco airport for your flight over these icons that can only be viewed from the air. See how many geoglyphs you recognize from animals to plants, even people. Return to Pisco airport after your fly over where you will be met and transferred to the bus station to board your transport to Lima. Upon arrival in Lima, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for the remainder of the evening at your leisure. (B)
